Iiu Susiraja (FIN), 1975. Susiraja has graduated as an artist in Turku Art academy, Finland in the year 2012 (BA). And in the year 2018 she graduated in Finnish Academy of Fine Arts (MA). She makes idiosyncratic and humorous photography and videos. Her work can be viewed as collection of provocative performances using her own self as a model. Her work is included in the permanent collections of several Finnish and international institutions, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, the Helsinki Art Museum – HAM and the Finnish Museum of Photography in Helsinki, Gothenburg Museum of Art in Gothenburg, Stavanger Art Museum in Stavanger, University of Chicago in Chicago, and Rubell Family Collection in Miami. In 2019 Iiu Susiraja had extensive solo show “Dry joy” in Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma which included both her early works and more recent oeuvre.
